DFY Awarded Sported Access Grant to boost Girls Football

£1000 towards girls football improvements at DFY Academy.

DFY were pleased to have been chosen to receive a SPORTED x BARCLAYS access grant of £1000 from the Barclays Community Fund. Our application highlighted the need for increased participation for girls in grassroots football and our desire to make DFY Academy a fully accessible club for boys and girls. The Barclays Community Football Fund offers grants, training and support resources to help reduce inequalities in the participation of football. The fund supports local organisations (like ours) supporting young people from under-represented groups to start or keep playing. We are excited to keep building our girls football division, with more visits form our female player ambassadors and expert coaching from our brilliant coaches!
