Winter Camp 2024!

We had a fantastic time running our Winter Camp this year! Having just four days to run over New Year meant that they were jam packed! Happily we were lucky with the weather and having plenty of space so we were able to engage the children in all of their favourite sports.

Skateboarding returned and we had the chance to use the new ramps which was amazing fun and meant it was as popular as ever ! The children loved creating a dance and gym routine to show the rest of the club at the end of the week and all the team sports kept the children energetic and ready to compete. All the usual favourites were on offer with the coaches bringing some exciting new drills and games to keep the children engaged.

Beezee Bodies joined us for a morning workshop covering healthy eating and nutrition which was a brilliant addition and complemented the fun cooking classes offered by our resident cook Mary. We also introduced star of the day at our camps as we have done at our schools which was a really popular addition with the children keen to impress their coaches and work hard to achieve it.

We were really pleased to see lots of regular children returning again. Each camp feels increasingly like a fun reunion as the children get to see their favourite coaches and see their friends from other schools. We love the DFY family that we are able to build around our schools, camps and football club.
